Company History
Cec Hopper & Sons are a true-blue family company dating back to 1962 when Cec Hopper founded his Electrical Contracting Company based in Horsham in Victoria’s Wimmera. Cec operated the business with only a small staff (wait until you see how they’ve grown!), which included his two sons David and Barry.

In 1972 the three Hopper men formed a business partnership and then in 1987 the company known as D&B Electrical Pty Ltd, trading as Cec Hopper & Sons, was formed. David and Barry became the owners and directors of the family business their father had started 25 years earlier. By January 2007 David’s sons Ashley, Christopher and Simon and Barry’s sons Timothy and Glenn had joined the business which became known as the Hopper Group.
But far from being simply an electrical contracting company the Hopper Group have diversified over the years to become a High Voltage industry. They also own and run:

• Wimmera Power
• CHS projects and
• Wimmera Aquatrail

The company now employs a work force in excess of 70 people working on large scale electrical projects, and water and irrigation systems. In addition to Wimmera Power, CHS Projects and Wimmera Aquatrail, Cec Hopper & Sons continue to service the needs of the Wimmera region with electrical, phone and information technology (IT) needs with an excellent reputation for carrying out large and complex work. People’s needs and technology are frequently changing in these areas and Cec Hopper & Sons ensure they are skilled in providing the service that Wimmera people need and deserve.

Being isolated from a large metropolitan area makes no difference to Cec Hopper & Son’s staff who work under specifically developed Occupational Health and Safety practices. They have the latest technology, are highly qualified and experienced personnel who provide practical and efficient design solutions to help you achieve your goals.
