Wimmera Power Pty Ltd was established in 1997 when it became the Local Service Agent for Powercor Australia in the Ararat and Stawell areas.
Wimmera Power provides maintenance and service upgrades across western Victoria on the Powercor network and for private customers.

Wimmera Power provides High Voltage installations and maintenance around Victoria with qualified and experience High Voltage operators and linesman trained specifically for this type of work.
Wimmera Power has authority to issue Permit to Works and fault responses to zone substations and terminal substations in the local area. They are also able to provide additional staff during peak periods such as storms and bushfires.

Wimmera Power currently employ five qualified staff who are High Voltage live line operators, linesmen and authorised recipients.

Wimmera Power plant and equipment
To service the requirements of High Voltage installations and maintenance, Wimmera Power can provide the following plant and equipment:

• three fully equipped service vehicles
• an 18 metre elevated work platform, which is certified for High Power operations
• a 17 metre elevated work platform
• two miniature elevated work platforms

Wimmera Power have provided their expertise on the following projects:

• Labour hire to the High Voltage industry
• Installation of the Douglas mine high voltage lines
• Stand by assistance to Powercor Australia and their sub contractors
